Guide to Thanksgiving Placesettings
Setting a beautiful Thanksgiving table can be overwhelming, but in reality, with a few tips, you can set up a table that’s worthy of a home decor magazine. Our quick guide to Thanksgiving place settings will show you five different steps to create the perfect Thanksgiving table set to surprise all of your guests.
1. Start With The Most Beautiful Dining Set
Start with the basics. You might want to take out the special-occasion China you have stored away for this occasion. Working with a beautiful dining set that includes your silverware and everything else you have for special days will make your table setting pop.
2. Get a Festive Thanksgiving Centerpiece
Instead of focusing on tons of decorative items, focus on having a Thanksgiving centerpiece that will be the center of attention. Think of using a beautiful flower bouquet with fall colors or using pine cones to set the stage. Other great centerpiece ideas include candle holders, pumpkins, and DIY pinecone turkeys.
3. Use Serverware As Decoration
If you have beautiful silverware, for example, use it as part of your decoration. Place silverware over each plate to double-up as a name tag holder. Bring out all of your silver silverware to the table and let your food and desserts act as decoration. You can add ribbons, flowers, and pine cones to your silverware to decorate it even further.
4. Add Name Tags
Personalize your place settings with name tags. A cute idea is to add the name of each guest on a small piece of paper. You can set them on the table with a maple leaf, a pine cone, or even with the silverware you already have on the plates. This is a cute way to let your guests know where they’ll be seated and makes the whole experience personalized.
5. Add The Finishing Touches
Once you have all the foundational pieces in place, you can add the finishing touches. Think of decorative accents, candles, and other items that will make the table decor pop out even more. You can also decorate the back of the chairs or the table with a table runner to complete the setup.
Hosting a Thanksgiving dinner might seem stressful at first. But, if you follow these simple steps, you can quickly transform your dinner table into a beautiful setup that will charm all of your guests.
