Dine Downtown Restaurant Week

If you’d like a taste of the big city of Sacramento, this is where the chefs of the area come together to showcase their delicious treats. With many restaurants that are just started and many that have been established for quite some time, this is a day full of tasting and fun. Some of the over 25 restaurants serving up special menus will include Il Fornaio, Downtown & Vine, Biba, Chops Steak & Seafood Bar, and River City Brewing Company. Midtown Farmers Market

The market goes on throughout the year, but this is the first day that it is opened for the public and ready to go for another successful year. Meet with some of the local farmers in the area selling honey, produce, fresh baked goods and so many other items. Great for the whole family! Eating local just got a whole lot easier.

Winterfest 2015

The Harlem Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters are coming to Sacramento for two separate shows in January. Catch these iconic basketball all-stars in action at the Sleep Train Arena. You'll be dazzled with their basketball wizardry as they perform death defying trick shots and epic slam dunks. This is an interactive event that's great for all ages. Bring the kids down, and be thoroughly entertained by these legendary athletes.

3-2-1 Blast Off

January 24, 2015 - January 25th, 2015
Discovery Museum Science & Space Center
Free with museum admission ($6-$8) & museum members

Rockets, experiments, and exhibits oh my! 3-2-1 Blast Off is an educational day of fun for you and your little ones. Children will learn about rockets and their role in space exploration throughout history. They will also put their skills to the test by building their very own straw rocket. Admission also includes access to a planetarium show, the Space Quest! exhibition, an all-ages animal presentation, as well as the regular exhibits in the museum.
