New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular

Now in its 14th year, New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular marks the ending of an old year with a bang. This is a free event for residents to enjoy an impressive display of lights and fireworks along the historic waterfront along Old Sacramento. Sound effects with the light show will be a feast for the all of the senses. The first show is at 6:30, with shows at 9:00pm and at midnight. Vendors will be lined up in the streets with items, goodies and other extras to make your New Year’s Eve more exciting. There will also be live, kid-friendly entertainment including performances by the Madison Hudson Band and Superlicious. The event takes place rain or shine so be sure to dress for the weather!
New Year’s Eve at Social Nightclub

Listen to some of the hottest music, and dance the night away at Social Nightclub in Sacramento. The main room will feature DJ Julian Pierce, and the rooftop patio will be dancing to the sounds of DJ Heartworm. Early birds can purchase advanced tickets at a discount including VIP package specials which include complimentary champagne, one free premium bottle, admission for 10 guests and private booth to enjoy.
New Year’s Eve Gala on the Hornblower

New Year’s Eve Gala on the Hornblower is a unique experience for those wishing to have a blast to the past. Walk into a 50s themed ship, and take a cruise to ring in the New Year in style. Dinner, dessert, drinks and many other items will be served, as well as live music and dancing. There are two sailings available: one at 8:30pm and another midnight sailing at 11:15pm. Cruises coincide with the fireworks show along the river. Tickets cost $30.75 per person and can be purchased in advance on their website.
Sacramento River Train: New Year's Eve Dinner Train

When you ride on the Sacramento River Train, you get much more than a ride. Party in style, get a three course dinner, enjoy complimentary drinks and more. Celebrate with a DJ, and test your skills on the dance floor. There will be also be a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Tickets start at $45 for drinks only, and $100 to include dinner service.
