South Land Park (Greenhaven)

A fantastic location close to the I-5, along with home prices and space make South Land Park - also known as Pocket-Greenhaven - one of the best neighborhooods in Sactown. You'll find ranch homes between $200,000 and $550,000 on a quarter acre of land. The area is close to downtown Sacramento. And it's near Land Park as well as Bing Mahoney golf course. There are several amazing Carter Sparks, Eichler and Streng homes, some of which you can tour during the Sacramento Mid-Century Modern Home Tour.

Cresleigh Ranch Village in Elk Grove

A superb neighborhood for university graduates looking to settle down and raise a family, Cresleigh Ranch Village is situated in the southwest nook of Bruceville Road and Franklin Boulevard in Elk Grove. The area boasts newer homes and great schools (Arlene Hein and Helen Carr Castello, and Franklin High School), while being very safe as well. You'll find plenty of parks along with many family friendly restaurants nearby including Romano's Macaroni Grill. Home prices in Cresleigh Ranch Village start at $250,000.

Del Dayo

One of the top factors families look for in a neighborhood is good schools and in Del Dayo, located in Carmichael, you'll find outstanding schools. The community is within the San Juan Unified School District that includes school such as Del Dayo Elementary, Arden Middle School and Rio Americano High School. All of which are highly regarded on the Great Schools website. You'll also find top-end private schools in Jesuit High School and St. Ignatius Parish School. The Del Dayo neighborhood is adjacent to the American River which offers plenty of outdoor recreation.

Campus Commons

You'll find Campus Commons, a planned unit development, beside the American River at Howe Ave. and Fair Oaks Blvd., close to Sacramento State. The neighborhood was mostly developed in the 1970s by Robert Powell, who built Gold River. Campus Commons is about 680 acres with just over 1,160 single family homes, both detached and attached. Residents enjoy two lakes, a clubhouse, spas, swimming pools as well as tennis courts. The community is very close to all Midtown has to offer, while boasting landscaped corridors and miles of paved pathways. There are HOA fees which range from $220-$450 per month.

Serrano (El Dorado Hills)

Serrano is an upscale neighborhood situated in the rolling foothills of El Dorado Hills that's about 3,500 acres in size with larger homes (minimum square footage is 2,500. Some homes are more than three times as big located on acreages. The community is not far from El Dorado Hills Town Center, which offers plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment. The Serrano Country Club offers members tennis, swimming, a spa, and a fitness center. Serrano is a highly desirable area for professionals who want to be away from the hubbub of the city.
