What to Expect at the California State Railroad Museum
The California State Railroad Museum houses many different railroad displays, provides arts and crafts for younger, as well as older children and has many presentations throughout each day. Take a tour, and learn about the early history of trains. This is a must see for those wishing to do something, but provide yourself with enough time so you can go through each of the exhibits, take the tour and also do some of the crafts that they have available every day.
The dining and mail cars are spoken about most often, because of the quality of the cars and how you’re able to actually walk through them. Be able to learn, while also having fun. Each of the tour guides will explain to children each and every piece, clarify anything for them in terms that they can understand, as well as answer any and all questions. There are play areas for the younger children to visit and mingle, as well as an adult sitting area right next to the play area.
Train Rides for the Entire Family
In addition to all these wonderful attractions, the California State Railroad Museum also offers train rides for those that wish to participate. They have rides for holidays, as well such as the Polar Express train ride in the winter and the Spookomotive during Halloween. Enjoy a fun day at a museum that aims to impress, inspire, teach and awe people of all ages that visit.
